Nach etwa 16 Monaten des Umbaus hat Chordeograph eine neue Steg- und Sattelkonstruktion so wie 37 neu berechnete Saiten. Das Ergebnis: Chordeograph ist nun auch ein Melodieinstrument.

After 16 months of work Chordeograph has a new bridge, nut and 37 new calculated strings. The result: Chordeograph is now even a melody instrument.

In the following 3 videos sounds emerge just by movement with Plexiglas and Wood sliders on the strings without electronic manipulation or gain. The range of the microtonal tuning is about 1.5 octaves. By playing with different angles of the slider on the strings I compress the fundamentals of stringsegments until unison. A mixture of free vibrating and damped strings generates hall-effects.
